It's Kabbalah (or Cabala), not cabal, and it is a broad term
for a complex school of mystical/esoteric Jewish philosophy
that dates back to the Middle Ages. I suggest that your
patron contactthese folks for a copy of their book catalogue.
They have a good selection of inexpensive paperbacks on such
         topics.
