Original query:
Will those of you who have experience with CMS accreditation (not JCAHO)
please contact me off-list?  I have a few questions regarding the
medical library/information standards with this accrediting body, and
would like to hear from a librarian who has personally prepared for and
experienced a CMS survey.


Summary:
I did not get many responses.  The two that I did are listed below:

CMS was here a while back, but it was the state Department of Health
that did the actual inspecting on CMS' behalf.  One person actually
visited the library, but it was a viewing the place type of visit, and
"it's all on the internet" small talk.  No questions or checking if we
met any particular standard.

I looked at the CMS Conditions of Participations for hospitals but
didn't see anything about the library.  Hope this helps.
