Many thanks to all who took a stab at this puzzle (don't you just love
these goofy ones?!).

The correct answer right off the bat came from Barbara Nansteil of the
Nesbitt School of Pharmacy who pointed me to Wilbert J. McKeachie, who
has written a book on active learning called Teaching Tips: Strategies
Research and Theory for College and University Teachers.

I had numerous other answers, including others who seconded Mr.
McKeachie's book. Thank you to all who helped with this. The patron
was very pleased.
