Associate Director

Job Duties: Supervise three Library departments (Circulation, Interlibrary
Loan, and Information Services).  Coordinates annual budget request from
Library departments; assist in library strategic planning; develop outreach
initiatives for Library services for UCHC campus and community users; assist
in hiring Library staff; serve as ex officio capacity on Library Advisory
committee; serve as instructor in MPH course on medical informatics;
maintain a current awareness of contemporary information technology and its
impact on medical librarianship.

Qualifications:  1)Masters in Library Science from an American Library
Association accredited library school; 2)  Minimum of 5 years of library
administration experience with increasing levels of management
responsibility; 3) Documented experience in the following areas:  online
searching; speaking and writing skills; leadership roles in
local/state/regional/national library organizations.

Preferred Qualifications: Second subject masters degree, experience with
spreadsheet and relational database software, successful submission of a
grant proposal, instruction and teaching experience.

Salary Range:  $65,000-85,000.
