Since MEDLIB-L is just fine and there are, indeed, problems with Doris'
email, I going to use this as an opportunity to remind everyone about the
valuable MEDLIB-L Archives.

Doris, if by some chance you can read this - which is doubtful, since you
are not receiving MEDLIB-L messages, please see the error message I received
about your email address, below my SIG (signature) file.

Whenever you suspect there is a problem in receiving mail from MEDLIB-L, or
if you want to double-check if your message was sent out to all subscribers,
the MEDLIB-L Archives are the first place to look. Posts appear in the
MEDLIB-L Archives within moments:

If you learn there is a problem with your subscription, please do write to
me for help. That's why your ListMom is here. There is no need to write to
the list. Imagine the email problems you would have, if all of the nearly
2200 MEDLIB-L subscribers replied to you?

The MEDLIB-L Archives

The MEDLIB Archives go back to 1993, and are searchable by date or subject.
One of the reasons ListMom nags you to post summary messages of the answers
you receive, is that they will live on, in the searchable Archives, and this
is what makes the MEDLIB-L Archives so valuable.

SEARCHING THE MEDLIB-L ARCHIVES:

First, go to the main entry site,
http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu/archives/medlib-l.html

Select SEARCH THE ARCHIVES, which appears on the left side of the
page, just above the list of weekly dated posts.

Once you reach the Search the MEDLIB-L Archives page, you will see
search boxes.

For a subject search, enter your term in the top search box.

If you check the "Substring Search" box, your search will match any
word containing the string you have entered. For instance, a
substring search for chem would find both "chemistry" and "alchemy."

Use the appropriate boxes for date limits, searches for author, etc.
I have found that less produces more, when selecting search terms.

Next, click on the SUBMIT button bar, which is down below all of the
search boxes.

When the search results are displayed, click on the Item # of the
message to display the message text.
