I am seeking advice about whether members of this list would find the occasional announcement about history of medicine activities at the Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine at University College London useful. As you may know, the Centre, in line with the policies of the Wellcome Trust, provides the journal Medical History free via PubMed Central. In close collaboration with the Wellcome Library for the History and Understanding of Medicine, with which we share a home, we offer facilities for global access to medical historical information, a vital component for medical education. I don't want to clutter any one's mailbox, but if list members are supportive, I would like to post a notice every month or two, and to ask for feedback about how we can serve medical librarians and their patrons more effectively.
  Thank you,
Harold J. Cook, Ph.D. FRCP (hon.)
