It's an interesting (if self-serving for NEJM) survey, but I'd view it with some caution.  The survey was only sent to AMA members (which is not representative of all US physicians), and it was only sent to selected specialties.  They did NOT include Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Ob/Gyn, or Surgery (of any type).  So it certainly does not reflect the reading habits at my institution!
