I've been asked to talk with a group of middle school students for 15
minutes on careers in medical librarianship. I plan to tell them about
academic, hospital, and research jobs and how we provide information for
doctors, nurses, scientists, students, and patients. I'll try to draw
some parallels with public and school librarians too, and I'll ask my
local expert (my 6th grade son) for suggestions.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Especially interesting aspects
of our jobs that I should be sure to mention? Can anyone who's done
something like this comment on what played well for a middle school
group?
Thanks!
Janet
