Yes, but it is hard to form a union when you are in a one or two person
library in a hospital. In fact, not just hard but impossible.

I have had my job for almost 27 years and am being paid a decent salary
because I worked through the inflationary years of the 1980's. I have
also done as has been suggested and made everyone I could aware of the
value of the library and the LIBRARIAN. I hope when I retire in August
they will remember and hire a qualified person.
