Our Pearl River, New York Information Management Division is currently
seeking a Chemical Information Analyst.  This position is available within
the Proprietary Information Services group, which maintains data integrity
and provides end-user support for drug discovery and development
information within pharmaceutical R&D.
 
Working as an integral member of project teams, the successful
candidate will maintain and support proprietary databases which assist
R&D staff with gathering information required by drug discovery and
development efforts.  This includes data registration, quality control of
data, end-user support and training, and preparation of technical
documentation.
 
Requirements include a Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Biology with
significant organic chemistry experience and 3-5 years experience as an
information provider, preferably within a pharmaceutical research
setting; a MLS degree would be a plus.  Candidates must have
knowledge of chemical nomenclature and Structured Query Language
(SQL).  Familiarity with both relational and chemical databases and
knowledge of the drug development process are preferred.
