I am looking for someone with a similar experience who can point me in
the right direction (or at least a new direction).
I have chronic pain on the entire right side of by body (from my head
to my ankle). It started in my abdomen (they found gastritis)
proceeded down my abdominal tract to my appendix (which was removed)
and then down my leg, up my chest and down my arm to top of my
hand. I have been scanned, MRI'd and tested in 3 hospitals and the
only thing they have found is an elevated ACE level. The pain is skin
deep: The slightest touch, or even a breath of air or the weight of a
T-shirt causes intense pain.
I'm under the care of a University Neurology department, which
provides pharmacological pain relief and steroids. Otherwise, the
best
advice they now have is "hopefully it will burn itself out over the
course of your lifetime!"
I would appreciate any advice from anyone who knows of a similar
problem or knows where to look!
