Happy Friday, everyone!

I have a pediatrics professor who thinks he remembers using software or an online service that allowed you to drop multiple citations into it, and it would compare them to the Medline database and retrieve the correct and full citation.  This seems a little *magical* to me, but I shall try to suppress my natural cynic and see if I can find something for him.  I have queried Mr. Google, but have only come up with the usual citation matchers from PubMed and the software and services that will take your text and create a correct citation.  (We subscribe to a couple of bibliographic programs already.)

What the prof wants to do is update and correct all of the references (1000s of them) in a book he wrote.  But he doesn't want to do it one citation at a time.  If anyone remembers or knows of such a service, I would be grateful if you would email me off-list.
