HEAD, EDUCATION SERVICES
The Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences (TML), Virginia
Commonwealth University (VCU) Libraries is recruiting applicants to lead
its Education Services Department. This newly-formed department of 6 FTE
is responsible for planning, creating, providing, and supporting
traditional and electronic Web-based informational instruction. Working
in a team environment, the successful candidate will provide vision for
the future, plan for new educational technology applications, define
departmental policies and procedures, and develop and manage traditional
and digital instructional programs. Reports to the Director,
Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences.
Qualifications: ALA accredited MLS or an accredited masters degree in an
instructional discipline is required, with progressive responsibilities
in informational instruction program design and implementation
preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Must have the ability to
meet requirements for faculty advancement, including professional
service and publication. Experience working in a culturally diverse
environment highly preferred.
Salary: $48,000 per annum minimum. Complete posting and qualifications
