Dear CMENC Members,

   I would like to take this opportunity to very sincerely
&lsquo;thank you&rsquo; for your attendance at the April 10 CMENC 60th
Anniversary Reception in Milwaukee!  From all appearances, the event
was a huge success&mdash;everyone surely enjoyed the live music
presented by &ldquo;Swing Nouveau!&rdquo; Congratulations to each of
you who received various CMENC Chapter and individual awards!

   It was great meeting many of you at the Conn-Selmer booth on the
MENC Exhibit floor.  Thanks for stopping by!  The 2008 Conn-Selmer
Institute held on the campus of Notre Dame University is &ldquo;sold
out&rdquo; with over 380 participants (compared to 186 in &rsquo;07),
but plan ahead for 2009!  The 2009 Conn-Selmer Institute dates are,
June 7-10. Watch your email for a special &lsquo;early bird&rsquo;
offering!

   And, if you would like for me to visit your CMENC chapter to
present Conn-Selmer Institute information and reflect on my 33 years
as a music educator, simply send me an email:
