Hi Everyone! Happy Saturday!

Here are the minutes from Tuesday's meeting:

-Thank you for the better turnout this week. It still wasn't perfect,
but thank you to those who came (and continue to come!). There were
snacks, so hopefully that trend will continue :)

-The trombone workshop was fun to those who went- there is a Bassoon
Workshop coming up on Nov. 15th (that's this coming Tuesday) from 3-8.
If you want to go but can't stay for the whole time that's fine. This
is a great opportunity since we don't really learn anything about
bassoon while we are here (there just isn't enough time). Since there
are a lot of performances during this, you could also write up a
concert report for it!

-Ushering- we've been doing a great job- keep it up! We've been asked
that we put the extra programs in the slot as well as the recital hall
key when we are done. Also, if you've signed up to usher a Student
Performance Recital, please note that one or two of you will need to
be stagehands and help with moving stands, chairs, opening and closing
the piano, etc.

-Dr. Riley has come up with an AWESOME idea about a way to spend some
of our money- We should have a team building experience and go for a
weekend in Montreal to see the Symphony! It will be tons of fun. And
Sylvia Parker will be attending...So it's going to be great. I think
the date is somewhere in the beginning/middle of March. We'll talk
more about it at our meeting this week, and we'll be deciding on
committees and breaking into those so Andy and Will don't have to do
all the work.

-This means that it's SUPER IMPORTANT THAT YOU ATTEND THIS WEEK'S MEETING.

-Finally, don't forget that the Music Ed Family dinner is tonight at
Converse hall! Call Holly if you have questions!
