I saw on the news today a special about the new iPad 3's capabilities  
in the classroom. It almost seems like Apple designed the new iPad  
with the mindset that it should be used in the classroom, and the new  
apps that will be available will be much better than before (and will  
work best on the newer iPad). Also, given that Apple updates their  
products frequently it seems it would be most beneficial to get the  
new iPad so that they can be a use to the program for more years to  
come...
