While clearing the recyclables out from under my desk I found a press
release from 1997 about "Reinventing Education." As I recall this was
supposed to change our lives:-)  I checked out the web site, it's
still there but appears moribund.  One of the features we were
promised back in '97 was a portfolio scoring tool. Was that ever
developed?  I'd love to see a searchable database of benchmarks
online. Imagine doing a quick search for all 8'th grade portfolio
problems that score a level three bullet two for connections. That
WOULD change my life!
