Bills are paid based on a warrant approved by the selectboard; therefore,
you cannot sign and pay bills until the selectboard has approved payment.
We do pay payroll before the warrants are signed per permission of the
selectboard. What would happen if you signed a check and mailed it and the
board did not want to pay it? We also have a purchase order system whereas
any purchases of $500 to $1999 must be approved first by the Town
Administrator before purchases are made. $2000 or over must be approved by
the Selectboard.
