Thanks for your prompt reply.  There seems to be confusion on this
issue.  After reading the statutes and rereading what our Town Attorney
sent us  I interpret it as a fixture filing only needs to be recorded in
the land records and does not need to be filed with other financing
statements. This is further clarified by recent amendments to the UCC
code which became effective July 1, 2001.  It's 9A V.S.A. 9-502(a)(2)
financing statements for fixtures must be filed for record in the real
property records.
