Subject: Annual Town Report Submission Process

Dear Clerks,

Many of you have reached out regarding the new submission process for Town Reports. As you may know the legislature updated 24 V.S.A. § 1173, and made your local library and the Vermont State Archives and Records Administration (VSARA) the only required recipients of the annual report. 

VSARA has developed a webpage with submission instructions outlining the new submission process. That website is located here:
https://www.sec.state.vt.us/archives-records/statutory-filings/municipal-reports.aspx 

VSARA will be sending out a separate memo to all clerks individually with the same instructions to ensure that you all receive directions. Apologies for the multiple messages, in advance.
