Although this appears to be a discussion amongst Clerks, I'd like to jump
in here and add my 2c... (big surprise!)...
Here in the Garden, the Listers also utilize NEMRC to produce tax bills.
And while it's true that you can't make changes to NEMRC or you screw up
your tax bills from the previous year, we have always run a copy for the
clerk - a duplicate that is kept in a binder for just this purpose, whether
we were using NEMRC or the program I created in ACCESS a few years ago.
AND, i have a little confession to make.... I even had a copy made by the
clerk! And now that the tax bill has to be given to the tax department, i
realize that we should be sending the taxpayers 2 copies of their bills -
one to keep and one to give away.
I agree that it could be seen as a pain to have to do the copying, but I am
so impressed with the dedication to serving the public that the Clerks who
have responded have shown. You do go the extra mile and generally with a
smile. I know here in paradise, we would be lost! without our very
competent and graciously serving Clerk!
It's not a glamour job, but somebody's gotta do it! Thank you for chosing
to take it.
Kleenex attached to sop up the sap...
>I too have had a problem with this, but I do the copies by mail, or fax or

Funny, how we parents think our children never
listen, only to see them mimic our actions.....
What kind of a role model have you been today?
