This sounds like someone who died out of state. The dates make a Civil War
death possible. Bruce in Eden.

Subject: Death Record
Hello Everyone,
Recently a partial gravemarker was found in Colchester with the following
information on it:
Eugene Gilmore
son of John and Julia
died April 4, 1866
I have not found anything in Colchester cemetery records or at Public
Records in Middlesex for this person. If everyone could check their vital
records and cemetery records I would appreciate it. If you find something
please respond to me personally at my email address;
[log in to unmask] or by phone (802) 264-5522.
Thanks,
Wanda Morin
Asst. Town Clerk
