Here in Pittsfield the following people have keys to the Town Clerk's Office:
Town Clerk/Treasurer
Asst. Clerk/Treasurer
Lister Chair - we share office space
Selectboard Chair - for meeting purposes only
Custodian
The Clerk/Treasurer is the custodian of the Town records and therefore the
town office needs to have very limited access. I instruct those who do have
keys not to make copies or lend them out.
