Subject: NEACTC FUND RAISING LETTER
Several of you have responded to my email about the fund raising letter. Here it is.. Bonnie Reynolds who hosted the last conference suggested that each Clerk sign the letter themselves. Feel free to change the date and put on your letterhead if you think it appropriate.
Thanks in advance for you support. It is much appreciated.

Dear
The Vermont Clerks will be hosting the New England Association of City and Town Clerk’s conference October 22-24, 2003 in South Burlington, Vermont.
This annual event is attended by City and Town Clerks throughout the six state region.
Special guests will include several New England Secretaries of State, Vermont Governor Jim Douglas, Lieutenant Governor Brian Dubie and State Treasurer Jeb Spaulding.
Vermont Clerks, on their own, cannot finance an event of this magnitude. Your support would show your appreciation for all that your local Town Clerks do for you. It would also be a way to advertise your business and your donation will be recognized in our conference publications and at the event you have helped sponsor. There are many ways you could be of assistance:
1. Sponsor an event i.e. reception, dinner, lunch
2. Sponsor a speaker or an educational session
3. Monetary donation to be applied to the overall conference.
We will accept and appreciate a monetary or in kind donation of any amount.
Please make your check payable to the “2003 New England Conference Committee” and mail it to my attention. Your continued support and contribution to the success of this conference will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
|
