NOFA-VT Farm to Community Mentor Position-Windham County

January 2009

The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA Vermont) is
seeking a Farm to Community Mentor for Windham. The goals of the position
are to facilitate links between farmers, educators, and community members
and to create and expand opportunities for food and farm education.

This part-time position is a $2,500 contract (averaging 15-25 hours a
month at $11.00 per hour). We seek an individual who will serve as a
resource and facilitator between the farmers and educational institutions
(including schools, scouts, 4H, other groups for kids) in their region,
including serving as the contact for the Farmer Correspondence Program and
Youth Days at Farmers' Markets in Windham County.

Experience with farming or gardening and teaching preferred.

Please contact Mentor Coordinator Abbie Nelson at the NOFA Vermont office
for more information (802-434-4122 or [log in to unmask]).
