interested. We are starting a monthly webinar series for new farmers on
the second Thursday of the month from 7-8pm. Participation is free and
requires access to the internet.

Have you ever wondered if raising sheep is for you? On Thursday, January
14 at 7:00pm, UVM Extension's New Farmer Program kicks off the 2010
webinar series with Starting Right with Sheep with Chet Parsons, UVM
Extension Livestock Specialist. Learn about the different breeds of
sheep and which types are best for your situation. Learn how to select
healthy livestock and what to look for when purchasing animals. Finally
learn a bit about the housing, pasture, fencing, breeding and health
needs of your sheep before you bring them home. The webinar will last
one hour and you can participate from your computer!
To participate in this webinar simply go to

15 minutes prior to the start time, login using your name and enter our
virtual classroom. If you have internet access and can hear sound
through your computer that's all you need to participate. You will be
able to ask questions using our chat feature. Can't make it at that
time? No problem, we will record the webinar so you can view it at your
convenience.

required and there is no fee to participate. About 20 minutes prior to
the start time simply go the virtual meeting room
