Hello friends -- please review this highly unique opportunity in
Jeffersonville, VT! And definitely pass it on to entrepreneurs or
organizations that you think might have some interest.
Thanks,
Ela

The Vermont Land Trust is looking to partner with a highly qualified
individual or organization to develop a new farm enterprise on the West
Farm- 180 acres of farmland located within a 1300 acre conservation
property owned by VLT in Jeffersonville, Vermont. Applications, maps,
and additional information about the property and the request for
concepts process can be found at www.vlt.org/westfarm
<http://www.vlt.org/westfarm>.

Thanks to support from the previous land owner, VLT is in a position to
make substantial capital investments including upgrading and improving
existing barns and building new infrastructure to support the new
enterprise. We are seeking well thought out and creative concepts that
further our goals for the property, which are to:

·Enhance the productivity of the property's agricultural soils and other
ecological values

·Facilitate economically viable farm use on the property

·Develop farm enterprises and/or value-added agricultural operations
that promote the economic well-being of the community

·Implement community engagement, land stewardship demonstration
practices, and/or educational activities on the property

VLT will maintain ownership of the property, but is looking for a
long-term partner and would be open to discussing alternative
equity-building models with concept finalists.

Applications will be accepted through November 15, 2013. For more
information, or to sign up for a property open house, please contact
