Colleagues,

The UVM Extension New Farmer Project is seeking funding to develop a
tractor education curriculum and train-the-trainer project that will be
broadly available to help provide basic tractor safety, basic use and
maintenance, and decision-making education to Northeast small scale and
diversified farms. We are proposing to offer training that uses a
variety of in-person and online formats to prepare participants to
deliver tractor education for beginning farmers and farm employees,
interns and apprentices.

Please take a few moments to fill out this short survey to help us gauge
priority topics and approaches for this type of training. Your input
will help us design a project that will assist new farmers who are
working to scale up their operations and established farmers who need
appropriately trained employees.

Here is the link to the survey:

We apologize for cross postings, but wanted to try to reach out
throughout our networks.

Questions? Comments? Want more info? Please feel free to contact us at
[log in to unmask] We'll be happy to share more about our proposed
project and to keep you informed on our progress.

Thanks much,

Mary Peabody
