We would very much appreciate your input on a train-the-trainer project
on tractor education for beginning farmers. If you haven't already done
so, please take a moment to fill out our survey by the close of business
on Friday, October 12.

Many thanks to all those who have already filled out the survey! You've
provided valuable input and ideas that we are incorporating in our
proposal. *Please feel free to forward this email to other people who
you think may be interested.* We want to reach out broadly as broadly as
we can.

    Colleagues,

The UVM Extension New Farmer Project is seeking funding to develop a
tractor education curriculum and train-the-trainer project that will
be broadly available to help provide basic tractor safety, basic use
and maintenance, and decision-making education to Northeast small
scale and diversified farms. We are proposing to offer training that
uses a variety of in-person and online formats to prepare
participants to deliver tractor education for beginning farmers and
    farm employees, interns and apprentices.

Please take a few moments to fill out this short survey to help us
gauge priority topics and approaches for this type of training. Your
input will help us design a project that will assist new farmers who
are working to scale up their operations and established farmers who
    need appropriately trained employees.

We apologize for cross postings, but wanted to try to reach out
    throughout our networks.

Questions? Comments? Want more info? Please feel free to contact us
at [log in to unmask] We'll be happy to share more about our
proposed project and to keep you informed on our progress.

    Thanks much,

    Mary Peabody
