To all psychology majors or minors,
If you are receiving this email it is because you have either a psychology major or minor here at UVM and I wanted to let you know of some exciting opportunities regarding your interest in psychology!
The first is that we have recently reinstated our school's Psychology Club! This is a great opportunity to connect with other students who share the same passion and build a tight-knit community within such a large major. The Psychology Club is open to everyone and does not require an application! Some examples of meeting topics are community service in mental health (this year focused on the Me2 Orchestra dedicated to decreasing mental health stigma), current psychological research, and help with general student life at UVM!
The club works in conjunction with the UVM Chapter of the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology, so this is a great opportunity to talk about psychology, as well as learn more about this prestigious honor society. This international organization recognizes excellent performance by students in the field of psychology. This does require an application, and we will talk more about it at our meetings!
If you are interested in either of these opportunities, our next meeting will be on Thursday, October 20th at 7pm in John Dewey Hall, room 100. Please come! We would love to have you!
Thank you,
Avrie Cowles
