Dear Students,

We are offering a new course, please see below:
Neuroscience NSCI 295
Time is Brain! Stroke and the Cerebral Circulation

The brain is a relatively small organ (about 2% of body weight) and yet consumes 20% of total oxygen and 25% of total glucose. Neurons and other cells in the brain need a constant energy supply, and therefore rely on continuous and precise blood flow to the brain to maintain their high energy activities. Want to understand how blood flow is controlled in the brain and what will happen when it is dysfunctional? Want to know how different kinds of strokes are diagnosed and treated? With expertise from basic scientists and clinicians, this is the course for you to comprehensively understand how the brain circulation works physiologically and what happens during disease states. Please see the attached brochure for details and do not hesitate to contact course co-director Dr. Kelvin Siu-Lung Chan at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> when you have questions.

Here is the link to my (http://www.med.uvm.edu/neuro/bio?BioID=31239) and co-director Dr. Cipolla's (http://www.med.uvm.edu/neuro/cipolla_lab) Bio page.

Thank you very much for your attention and looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Kelvin

Hi Diana,

Please send this flier to all psychological science majors, minors, and graduate students.

Thanks,
John

Hi Diana,

If John Green approves, could you send the attached to psychological science majors? I've already taken care of the neuroscience students.

Jom

Hi Jom,

This is Kelvin Chan from Neurological Sciences. Probably you have heard from Margaret that we will be offering a new Cerebral Circulation course in Fall 2016. Here I attached a flier, can you help us to promote the course, by forwarding the flier through email to all major and minor undergraduate students in the Neuroscience Program, as well as all undergraduate and graduate students in the Psychology Program? Thank you very much for your help.
