Jane,

We use a Firebox 2500 made by WatchGuard (www.watchguard.com). It does
static IP filtering and proxies. It has only recently been installed, but so
far it has performed wonderfully. It proxies SMTP (filtering out .scr, .exe,
.pif, etc. attachments and selected mime types). It proxies HTTP (filtering
out selected mime types and blocking ports that are typically used for
napster, morpheus, etc.) It proxies FTP, telnet, POP3, IMAP, ping. It is
used to block syn flood attacks and port scanning. It will also do URL
filtering using the OEM version of CyberPatrol. It has three interfaces
(external, internal, and DMZ). It comes with an activity monitor and custom
logging.
