I got mine using Transcript review:
https://education.vermont.gov/educator-licensure/become-a-vermont-educator/transcript-review
This was the path I took
1. I got my masters in ed from UVM (before I had a teaching license).
*I suspect that Castleton has a similar path.
2. I then did a transcript review for my initial endorsement
(Educational Technology Specialist)
3. You are responsible for the practical hours, which I think is 300.
They counted the classes I taught at MSj and my work as a tech
integration coach (the non-licensed version of that endorsement). It is a
k-12 endorsement so you will need hours in all grades.
4. They will need to take the Praxis core, unless they got a particular
score on the SAT's.
I followed it up and got my admin endorsement by
1. Working 3 years under a teacher contract.
2. I took the endorsement path offered at Castleton. *they have a
masters version of this if you add a few more classes.
3. I am at the point where I need to submit my transcript to the AOE and
that process will be done.
I am happy to talk with anyone interested in a similar path.
