Hi all. I'm also in this boat and would love to crowdsource leads.
*Background: *
I already have an MLS and School Library endorsement and have been chipping
away at adding my EdTech endorsement for 6+ years (COVID-interruptus). I am
two classes short of what I need.
*Brash opinion: The EdTech endorsement is in quasi-limbo. *
UVM cancelled the class I was enrolled in for this past fall *and has also
removed mention of the certificate path from their website that laid out
the classes to take*. I spent a long time looking for a similar class to
replace the one that got cancelled and found nothing great. The Upper
Valley Educator's Institute <https://uvei.edu/> will let me design my own
class (maybe, but I'd rather not). I can cobble together three 1 credit
classes from here and there that-- together-- cover UDL, assistive tech and
differentiating with tech (and pay the fee(s) to have whatever college
sign-off on the credits) but it is unclear if that will meet the
requirements and I don't want to waste my time and money without
pre-approval.
*I would love to know if anyone knows of courses that could replace
"Differentiation and Technology" (UDL, assistive tech, differentiation) *
Here are the classes they listed in the page that no longer exists (thanks
to Lucie who had me do a spreadsheet once :). :
EDFS 320 Technology, Schooling, and Society EDCI 321 Learning Theory,
Instructional Design, and Technology EDCI 322 Differentiated Instruction
with Technology EDCI 323 Inquiry Based Learning and Technology EDCI 324
Current Topics in Assessment or Technology EDCI 325 Technology and
Leadership
My question for those who might know-- What's going on? Is a realignment of
expectations from the AOE in the works?
