Chromebooks not updating

Has anyone run into this? I've found out that my teacher Chromebooks (Acer
Flip 714s) are on older ChromeOSes like 105 or 116 and not auto-updating,
even after checking for updates or using the crosh command "autest”

I updated them by installing a new OS of a USB, but they still won't
upgrade to the latest from 122. I've checked the OU and it's not a setting
there.
