We are currently using Powerlink connections. When these were installed in the fall, I was told that Adelphia would provide one free connection per school, but that they "did not support networking." The implication was that we could use the connection as we saw fit within the building, and they installed the modem next to our server! We had to set up the router and network connection ourselves. I received the standard Powerlink agreement, not specific to school or business use. I am very interested to know what the arrangements are between Adelphia and the state or PSB, as these are our only connections at this point. I would also note that Adelphia has sent no notice directly to us - was the initial "March 1" message distributed to all Powerlink customers, or were schools deliberately left off of the list? Thanks for the info on this - it is an important issue!
