Tired Of Hacks, U.S. Army Switches To Macs

(09/10/99, 6:21 p.m. ET) TechWeb

After a series of hack attacks, the U.S. Army has
switched from Windows NT to Mac OS-based servers running
WEBSTAR Web server software for the Army home Page,
according to the U.S. Army Public Affairs department. A
report in ArmyLINK News says the Macintosh does not
offer remote logins and is considered more secure
