Dear Ivan,
      I don't believe it is possible to end schemes to swindle people as
long as we live in a culture almost completely dominated by the ideology of
capitalism. The horror stories are, as we all know, endless. I suggest we
do everything possible to educate people (ourselves included) about the
realities of this world, and work to replace capitalism with an entirely
different mode of organizing social life. A seminal effort in that
