Note: There are more telephones in New York City than all of the African
continent! How many of those fones are hooked to the internet? How long
would it take to bring basic computing technology? much less the
internet? to workingclass Africa? Would it be a Japanese, Chinese,
European, or USA controlled/dependent operation? Or would it be an
African interstate (PanAfrican) collaborative effort? Or would it be an
"African" private consortium hellbent on gouging the people in the name
of "African Progress in the 21st Century"?
Another question: Is it necessary for Africa to be hooked to the
internet? If so, why? If not, why?
