Due to unfortunate circumstances beyond our control, many of you may be
feeling the need to hit the delete key without investigating the
contents of certain well defined messages. This is usually not
necessary. If you are using Netscape Communicator you can find a
"Message Filters" selection under the Edit menu item on your email
client's main page. Similarly if you are using Outlook, the "Rules
Wizard" is available from the Tools menu item (since you may not have
used it before, you may need to click the button with the double down
arrow to see it). Web based email services usually provide a filtering
capability. Other email clients provide these services sometimes under
the category of "kill list." For those of you in the academy, your IT
department may be able to help.
I hope this helps reduce everyone's stress level -- Ivan
