Dear interested students,
Welcome back for the spring 2008 semester. The SEEDS program will be
starting up shortly for this semester. The first meeting is Monday, January
28, 2008 at 6pm.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you have participated with SEEDS before (you ‘ol pro you)…
You did a great job, each of you. Please let us know if you will be
returning plus any additional requests (ex. keep your school, ART
SUPPLIES!). Your skillz are invaluable in being able to guide a new
volunteer or finesse curriculums that you have already designed. Stop by the
office to peak into your folders if you missed the last meeting. There is a
certificate of appreciation there for you. Stick it onto your resume.
IMPORTANT: Love what you do or think you can make it even better? Step it up
a notch by joining heads with Alia as a coordinator or shadow coord. Keep
the program alive by taking charge. Arrangements can be made! A new
coordinator is needed because one of us graduated. Send us an e-mail or talk
to us.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If this would be your first time volunteering with SEEDS…
This is the perfect time to jump in! Join SEEDS for the first time with
others. Many of you requested to join the listserv for this occasion. Our
application and objective is found at uvm.edu/~service. Please fill out and
return the form to the VIA office located on the 3rd floor of the Davis
Center with the SGA offices. It is merely to pair you with a partner and
assert you desire to be creative with SEEDS. Hit us up with any questions.
SEEDS (Student Environmental Educators Doing Service) sends groups of 2-3
out in to the Burlington community once a week to teach elementary school
students about the environment (in their after school programs). The time
commitment is 45 minutes to an hour volunteering at your assigned school,
and lesson planning with your group). We also have biweekly meetings to
keep you updated and to help in lesson planning.

You make this club great!
