That grade school students who were taught American Sign Language have a
higher reading level that students who were not?

According to Marilyn Daniel's, a researcher at Penn State University,
report in HealthScout News they do ('Disability Compliance for Higher
Education', June 2001).

Deaf & Disability Awareness Month begins its five-week American Sign
Language series tomorrow.  Check out this along with other exciting events
