Subject: State of the World Forum

					Monterrey, N.L., November, 1998

Dear friend(s):

The reason for this letter is to inform you about a Junior World
Forum organized by the students of the Instituto Tecnologico y de
Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (I.T.E.S.M.), Monterrey Campus.

Said event is named State of the World Forum for Emerging Leaders
which is to be held from the 28th to the 30th of January 1999 at the
installations of I.T.E.S.M. in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

The event, planned and developed since the beginning of this
year, will deal with "Citizen Participation" through the development of
various high profile conferences and workshops. More than 600 young
leaders from all over the world will share their ideas and experiences
with each other.

Our forum originated as one of the initiatives from the State of
the World Forum in San Francisco, California, in October of 1997, which
included Mikhail Gorbachev and 400 of the most important intellectual,
spiritual and political leaders of this world.

In the tradition of the original forum, more than 120
international leaders, recognized in corporate, political, social, and
cultural circles will interchange their knowledge and lessons acquired
along the path of their successful careers. Among the international
leaders who have confirmed their participation are: Oscar Arias (Nobel
Peace Prize), Lech Walesa (President of Poland 1990-1995), Jean Bertrand
Aristide (President of Haiti 1991-1996), Jim Garrison (President of the
State of the World Forum), and Eckhard Pfeiffer (C.E.O. of Compaq).

As a result of the event there will be a universal declaration of
the world youth, as well as a plan to strengthen citizenship
participation on the world level.

I thank you for your attention and we look forward to your response. As
an attachment you will find an application for the Forum. For more
information, my e-mail address is the following:
