Here it is as viewed on the aproach:

It only drops 600 vertical feet, but it's quite a worthy target. It has a
very sharp ridgeline with sheer cliffs on either side. Between them are
deep slots through rock walls holding on to snow on every aspect. There
are at least 10 different ways down and all of them have bite.

We'd been eyeing the northeast face for a while, particularly the two
biggest runs in this shot:

Access is by way of a couple miles of easy pitched skinning to the base,
then a steep ascent to the top:

That's us climbing the opposite side of our intended ski - a choice we
made to save on time and effort. Our run would be longer and steeper than
the climb. Once at the top we traveled along the ridge to get a look down
the entrances.

They'd melted out some since we last took a look, so we chose the skier's
left run which had the best way in:

Good accoustics between those walls. Sounded like talking in stereo. The
snow was excellent for us once again, as was the terrain. Left our marks
on that small package of dynamite, then skied another 1,000' of vertical
through rolling meadows back to the car. Sweet cruising and great scenery.

Winter was quite a trooper- it was the scariest run she's ever been down.
She got nervous in a couple nearly-disastrous slips while we were booting
up, but regained her composore each time. Then she proceeded to tear down
the coulior with no fear. She likes it steep!. Some ski shots from within
the run(Mir has the red jacket and green pants):

A lot of un up there! As you can see, the Sharktooth has more thrills in
waiting than many mountains several times it's size. A great little hidden
treasure.
