Different bridge! You're confusing it with the Three-Mile Bridge
between Cornwall and Middlebury, a wooden bridge over Otter Creek
which burned down (under suspicious circumstances) on Halloween night
in 1950.

A few current maps (apparently including the one Marc has) indicate
that this bridge still exists, trapping the unknowing traveler into
miles of gravel-road detours.

BTW, the former Three-Mile Bridge is on no known routes to any
mountain anywhere.
