Mig, I know it's fashionable to slag all things Vail, but I would think that Stevens Pass and CB are two of the least McSki-like resorts in NA...not counting A-Basin, which you also apparently liked

Can't wait to get back to Steven Pass.  Never had a cost-effective means to get to CB before now

Skip, Vail is probably the lifeline that CB needs.  Did you see the Mueller's LOC on these resorts?  Twice the value of the resorts themselves.  I think the Feds will permit it -the only time they threatened antitrust legislation was with A-Basin and eventually received a work-around  (before that, Keystone was eventually permitted to be sold by Ralston (yes the dog food folks) to Vail

Great, more Macskiing for Vail Resorts (although Stevens Pass is actually pretty cool).

I wish A-Basin could break free and become Ikonic.  Skip, do you have any details on the relationship between A-Basin and Vail?  I believe that A-Basin is independently owned, but has some sort of long term agreement with Vail.  True?
