Good to know. I think the policy makes sense. Looks like they are trying to be done grooming the non-gondola side by midnight. No chance that we would be starting that early. I have ne desire to interfere with any of their operations, but if we can get up a trail where nothing is going on, then that would be great.

At the employee meeting they asked employees to spread the word that people should stop trying to hide from the cats. They wish people would try and make themselves visible, wear clothing and lights so they stand out. Wave to the cat drivers, let them know you are aware of them. Right now they see people trying to hide in the woods.
I got the impression that they are trying to make this work, but if people keep doing stupid stuff Stowe may be forced to ban it. The changes to the policy were done because people kept getting near cats on a winch. The uphill traffic apparently has more faith in the cables than mountain operations.

Thanks! Looks like as long as we stay off the gondola trails we are good for AM skinning.

Does anyone know if you can skin up Stowe before operations begin in the mornings? What is the resort policy? What about the auto road? Other options?
Thanks,
