    LAKE CHAMPLAIN MARINE FORECAST

   National Weather Service Burlington VT
   400 PM EDT Wed Oct 9 2002

   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast.

   Tonight: South Wind 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.
   Thursday: South Wind 10 to 15 knots, becoming light and variable in
   the afternoon. Waves 1 to 2 feet, subsiding to nearly calm.
   Thursday Night: Light and variable wind, becoming south at 10 to 15
   knots by morning. Waves building to 1 to 2 feet.
   Friday: South Wind 10 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 94.78
   feet. The water temperature was 58 degrees.

   The ultraviolet index for Thursday, October 10 is a 2. This is in the
   minimal category.
