Even if they "dont mind", the woods entrance/exit is a sort of insurance.

I used this technique when I taught SkiWee at Okemo and wasnt
allowed in the woods (or closed trails of course..). Okemo had a habit
of hiding patrollers at the bottom of closed runs, they'd then jump out
and confiscate your pass as you were concluding your euphoria. So we
would ski the run till the last bend, then cut out to an open trail. We
even made a few escape routes around some of the more popular traps..
worked like a charm, I never lost my pass.
