    RECREATIONAL FORECAST

   National Weather Service Burlington VT
   329 AM EDT Thu Sep 1 2005

   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast 

   Today: West Winds 5 to 15 knots. Waves 1 foot. 
   Tonight: Light west winds becoming south less than 10 knots. waves
   around 1 foot. 
   Friday: Southwest winds 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 95.54
   feet, and the water temperature was 70 degrees.

   The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:

   Today: Partly sunny. Highs 65 to 70. West Winds 15 to 25 mph. 
   Friday: Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 60S. Southwest winds 15 to 25
   mph.
